The Cock and the Rat : fable inspired of La Fontaine

The Cock and the Rat

One day Sir Cock saw a Rat
And told him :
– “What are you doing at my place,
You’ve got nothing to do here !
– And why ? the foul asked him.
– Because you are nothing ! Me, I’m a magnificent.- Don’t blow your own trumpet
I beseech you
Promised I leave !
But your nice feathers
Won’t prevent them from plucking you”.
The animal with the multicoloured tail
Didn’t understand.
At least until dawn.
Because when the Rat finally arrived
He told him :
– “I’m sorry I have scared you,
But during the night
I heard them talk.
– What did you hear !?!
The Cock panicked.
– That they were going to chop you finely”.
Then the beautiful animal received a shock.
And from now on,
He cannot blow his own trumpet anymore.

That is why dear readers
I ask you, do not want the big best,
Because otherwise the fate
Will make you understand who is the smarter one.
